Session Details
Aimée will bring her love for children, photography and years of experience as a photographer to each session to capture unique portraits that will be treasured for a lifetime. “Taking photographs has shown me the importance of recording our lives and especially those of our children. It’s not just about how we look, but how we feel, and how important the pictures will be in the future.”
Many people are very nervous at the thought of having their photo taken, but Aimee’s personality and enthusiasm alleviates all that within minutes. Her talent for understanding the way people feel and want to look together with a unique ability to make people feel relaxed and to enjoy being photographed adds up to a wonderful experience, one which you will never forget.
Please call or email 4 weeks in advance to schedule your portrait session.

Location:
You name the place: your home, backyard, favorite park, lake, beach, or even an apple orchard. Keep in mind with our New England weather if we schedule an outdoor shoot we may need to have an inside location as a back-up plan. If we are shooting outdoors, the best lighting falls in early morning (before 10:30 am) and late afternoon (after 3:00 pm). I shoot using both natural and studio lighting. We can have an outdoor and indoor shoot in the same portrait session. Pricing includes locations for the first 50 miles roundtrip; after that, there is an additional mileage charge. Please contact me for details about more distant locations…
What to wear for your portrait session
For Children and Parents:
The idea is to bring attention to the face while enhancing the portrait with the right clothing and color palette. Please look at the portfolios to see the look you like.
Here are some suggestions.
In General
Keep it simple – solid colors – no stripes, plaids, patterns or logos
Casual clothing – fussy, dressy clothing looks out of place in natural environments
Blue is probably the best overall color for everyone. It looks great in nature.
Jeans and Jeans jackets are great.
Natural Earth Tones – are always great
Pink – is great for spring and summer- but not fall.
Long Pants – are always better than shorts. It is better to roll up pants even in the hot weather.
Long sleeves are best for adults.
Summer/Spring
Bare feet for summer and spring
Sundresses are great – please be sure they are loose and below the knee
Pink and whites are fine – especially for a garden setting and beach
Pants – khakis, jeans overalls and capri’s
Fall
Dress in layers-
Natural Earth tones - browns and greens are beautiful (nothing too bright)
Sweaters/ fleece jackets over solid colored long sleeve t-shirts
Jackets – Barn or jean jackets – these can come off during the shoot
Sturdy shoes -Work boots - (white sneakers are distracting)
Haircuts- should be planned a least one week ahead- preferably two
