Portrait or Personal Image - Aimee McMaster

Aimée McMaster has always been interested in capturing the beauty of life, embracing nature, flora, the ocean, and life’s joy,she is able to find hidden beauty in a captivating and artistic manner. Aimée first picked up a camera as a very young child; her parents realizing that she had an appreciation for art encouraged her to explore her surroundings. She was raised to believe culture and nature are synergistic and are key to living a fully realized life.
As a young mother of three, Aimée enjoys sharing with her children a delight in the quiet of a late afternoon on the beach, the deep greens found in the mid-summer woods and exposing them to her unique vision. As she always reveled in sharing her visions, she began to hear praise from others about how she captured the essence and beauty of her children and the natural world.
Encouraged by her success locally, Aimée started to show her photographs in galleries and shows from the North Shore to Martha’s Vineyard. As her admiring public has increased, she has remained true to her original vision, to create art that is attainable and beautiful.
Photography is a passion for Aimée McMaster; keenly observing nature and finding the unique in the commonplace, she documents her observations through her fine art photography. The awards and recognition are secondary to the satisfaction she receives through the praises of those who value and collect her works.
Aimée’s photograph titled ‘behind crane’s’ was chosen as the winner of the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism photography contest 2007; it will be featured in upcoming advertisements and brochures She also has won Yankee Magazine’s 2006 Fall Photo Contest and was published in their magazine in 2007. Aimée is now currently working on a photojournalistic project for a book publisher.
Aimée McMaster lives in Stow, Massachusetts. She loves to travel, garden and has recently taken up watercolor. She receives daily encouragement and inspiration from her loving husband and three children.
